Artist's Statement:
My attention is always captured by the effects of light and shadow and their interplay with the endless subject matter at hand...whether it be a tidal marsh, upland meadows or studies of individual flowers. Pastel, for me, captures the immediacy and the nuances of the quickly moving light conditions and allows me to remain spontaneous in my studies of the coastal landscape.
